Welcome to Merrimack Valley Credit Union!

Cabot Boston Credit Union (CBCU) is now Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU), effective January 1, 2025. Members of CBCU and MVCU voted overwhelmingly in November 2024 to approve a merger of the two organizations.

While former CBCU members are now MVCU members, the credit unions’ computer systems will not be consolidated until spring 2025. Please continue to access your account as usual until the systems are consolidated.

Members will be receiving more information about the system conversion over the coming months. For your convenience, we have provided a list of Frequently Asked Questions that may address some of your questions about your MVCU membership.

If you would like to open an account, apply for a mortgage, car loan or any other product or service, you will first need to open an MVCU membership. You can apply online at mvcu.com or at an MVCU branch. We’re here to help.

After months of hard work and collaboration, I am so excited to welcome all members of Cabot Boston Credit Union to Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU)! We are one of the five largest credit unions in Massachusetts with over $2.3 billion in assets, more than 115,000 members and over 300 teammates. The entire MVCU family truly values every one of you as members of our new, combined credit union.

While growth is important to cultivating a financially sound organization, MVCU is committed to maintaining the credit union experience that you all know and appreciate. In addition to 19 retail branch locations that span from southern New Hampshire to the south shore of Massachusetts, we are excited to offer you a convenient online and mobile banking experience, a 24/7 call center, a Shared Branching network and more exclusive services that MVCU members enjoy every day. All of this will be available to you after January 1, 2025, and after the systems’ conversion that will occur in March or April 2025. And don’t worry, Marta Carney and Marybeth Nolan will continue to be available to assist with your financial needs! Your current experience will only be enhanced with this merger.
